Inside the gilded brass structure is placed a thin sheet of Japanese paper “Washi Chiyogami”: midnight blue with white cranes and gold detail.
This paper is then covered with a layer of resin which initially ensures its hardening but also provides protection against external elements such as rain, sun and UV.
